5th March 2010 Devon Premier Cup Semi-Final at Newton Abbott

 

CTCRM's Mne Shea Saunders, 40Cdo's Cpl Si Bochenski & 42Cdo's Mne Stu Morgan put the RM team 3-0 up against Plymstock and despite 2 late goals from Plymstock the Royal Marines secured their place in the final were they will meet Exmouth Town or Appledore.

UKLFcsg defender Cpl Wayne Shailer (Left) made a return to the team after returning from an exercise in Norway. Wayne scored an hatrick last week for the reserves.

 

 

  

Royal Marines 4 Okehampton 0

Saturday 13th February 2010 at Endurance Park CTCRM

 

CTCRM's Mne Shea Saunders (left) kept his cool to score two penalties in a comfortable win against lowly Okehampton. Sam Dibling kept up his recent impressive goal scoring run with a neatly taken finish. 42Cdo's Mne Stuart Brynley Morgan also got on the score sheet after good build up play from CTCRM's CSgt Richie Hope. Manager Jason Margrett was most pleased with the efforts of his back 5 of goal keeper James-Ashford-Brown, Chris Duchenski, Ben Wooley, Scott Sampson & Ben Clay in keeping only thier second clean sheet in the league.

 

 

Royal Marines 8 Teignmouth 3

Saturday 6th Feb 2010 at Endurance Park

 

Mne Dan Boere (left) scored a hatrick has the RM team smashed eight past Teignmouth. Cpl Simon Bochenski kept up his impressive goal scoring record with a goal. Striker Sam Dibling & Midfielder Stu Morgan both registered a brace of goals.

 

Axminster 2 Royal Marines 4

Saturday 30th January 2010 at Axminster

 

40Cdo's Cpl Si Bochenski was on the score sheet for the fourth game running & CTCRM's Mne Shea Saunders followed up his wonder goal last week to score again against Axminster. Striker Sam Dibbling scored against his former team mates and ASCRM's Mne Dan Boere also got in on the act to make the scoreline 4-2 in the RMs favour. Manager Jason Margrett (left) was delighted with the victory against the town were he currently resides.

   

Royal Marines 6 Liverton 5 AET

 

Devon Premier Cup 1/4 final Saturday 23rd January 2010

 

40Cdo's Polish striker Cpl Simon Bochenski scored 4 goals as the RM team progressed to the Semi Finals of the Devon Premier Cup with a 6-5 win over Liverton after extra time after earlier surrendering a 4-0 lead.

42 Cdo's Mne Stu Morgan & CTCRM's Mne Shea Saunders scored the other 2 goals.

 

 

Saltash 1 Royal Marines 2

Throgmorton Cup last 16 Monday 28th December 2009

 

Manager Jason Margrett described this performance as a spirited workman like display against a Saltash team that played like individuals. 42Cdo's Mne Stu Morgan (left) broke the deadlock in the first half & 40Cdo's Cpl Si Bochenski doubled the lead late on in the second half. Jamie Densham got a late consolation for Saltash in the dying minutes. RM Goal Keeper 42Cdo's Mne Karl Little had a great came in the nets.

 

 

  

Royal Marines 2 Budleigh Salterton 0

Saturday 19th December 2009 at Endurance Park

 

Cpl Si Bochenski 40Cdo & Mne Martin Finneron Cdo Log Regt scored second half goals that took the Royal Marines to the summit of the SWPL. They thoroughly deserved their 2-0 against Budleigh and manager Jason Margrett was pleased with the teams performance and in particular with new signing from Axminster striker Sam Dibbling who forged a good partnership with Si Bochenski.

 

 

 

 

 

Royal Marines 4 Appledore 1

Saturday 12th December 2009 at Endurance Park

Ross Hoyland scored a superb hatrick and Shea Saunders notched a sweetly taken volley has the Royal Marines leap frogged their opponents and moved into 5th place in the league. RMAFC captain Dan Boere said it was a comfortable win and that the team always had that extra gear when needed.

Manager Jason Margrett said the spirit at the club is great both with the 1st team & 2nd team and is looking forward to next weeks home clash against Budleigh Salterton. 

 

 

 

Royal Marines 5 Totnes & Dartington 2

Saturday 7th November 2009 at Endurance Park

Jason Margretts team played some brilliant free flowing football against Totnes & Dartington in the Devon Premier cup. Simon Bochenski weighed in with a brace, Chris Duchenski, Martin Finneron (Left) and a left foot strike by Richie Hope completed the scoring.

Manager Jason Margrett said "Its the best football wev'e played all season".

 

 

 

 

 

Bickleigh 1 Royal Marines AFC 2

Saturday 31st Oct 2009 at Bickleigh

A solid workman-like performance saw the Royal Marines come away from Bickleigh with all 3 points. Striker Ben Hebditch 40Cdo scored the opening goal in the first half then Birthday Boy Shea Saunders 42Cdo doubled the lead in the second half. Bickleigh pulled a goal back and could have snatched a late equaliser that Manager Jason Margretts felt would have been an in-justice based on the 90 minutes play. Ben Clay (Left) put in a great performance at left back in the first half and centre back during the second half.

 

 

  

Royal Marines AFC 3 Witheridge 0

Saturday 24th Oct 2009 at Endurance Park

With Dan Boere missing the game because of a family commitment Si Bochenski captained the side and scored a goal against his former club in this Throgmorton Cup tie. Striker Richie Hope (left) weighed in with a brace as the Royals put in a great all round team performance against their premier league opponents. 42Cdo's Scott Sampson made his debut at centre half and walked away with the man of the match award.

Manager Jason Margrett was pleased with the clean sheet against Premier opposition and also with the balance of the team line up.

  

Exmouth Town 3 Royal Marines AFC 1

Tuesday 13th Oct 2009 at Exmouth

Manager Jason Margrett (left) was left ruing defensive errors has he saw his team go down 3-1 to local rivals Exmouth Town despite taking an early lead through Simon Bochenski. Last seasons RMAFc top scorer Ben Shephard came back to haunt his old club with a brace of goals. Mark simic scored the other Exmouth goal.

   

Royal Marines 3 Stoke Gabriel 2

Saturday 11th Oct 2009 at Endurnace Park CTCRM

Shea Saunders (left), Stu Morgan & Ben Hebditch scored the goals has the Royal Marines came from 2-1 down with 5 minutes to go to snatch all three points with a 3-2 win.

Saturday 12th September 2009 at Stoke Gabriel

Another brace from Steve Blurton his 6th goal of the season and a headed goal from 42Cdo's Stu Morgan (Left) was not enough to take the spoils from second placed Stoke Gabriel. Despite twice taking the lead at 1-0 & 3-2 the RM team were un done by the clinical finishing of the Stoke team who scored 4 goals from 5 efforts at goal.

 

 

Exeter CS 1 Royal Marines 5

Saturday 5th September 2009 at Exeter CS

Steve Blurton (Left) notched a brace against Richie Pears Exeter CS side to move the RM team up to 3rd in the table. 40Cdo's Jimmy Hill scored a goal on his debut and FPGRM's Adam Fowler also scored on his first outing of the season. RMFA goal machine Richie Hope also got on the score sheet in this convincing win against an Exeter CS side that were previously in second place.

 

 

 

 

Royal Marines 2 Totnes & Dartington 1

Saturday 29th August 2009 at Endurnace Park.

Substitute Jason OBrien (Left) scored two goals to ensure an under par Royal Marines took all 3 points from the fixture, Jase was making his first appearance of the season and the defender was thrown up front by Manager Jason Margrett in the first half after Shea Saun Saunders went off with a hamstring injury. Leading goal scorer Karl Ricard also suffered a hamstring injury and is doubtful for next weeks game against Exeter Civil Service.

Royal Marines 3 Exmouth Town 1

Saturday 22nd August 2009 at Endurnace Park.

A Karl Rickard (Left) double, his 6th goal in 3 games and a Shea Saunders strike was enough to sink local rivals Exmouth Town 3-1 at Endurnace Park. Despite going a goal down to a strike from former Royal Marines AFC player Ali Sawer the RM team struck back within 60 seconds when Rico (pictured left) finished off a an end to end move by blasting into the roof of the net from close range past the despairing Brian Fardoe in the Exmouth goal.

Second half goals from Karl Rickard & Shea Saunders ensured manager Jason Margretts team took all 3 points.
